Juan Mendoza

My name is Juan Antonio Mendoza. I was born on July 20, 1998 and I am 22 years old. I am blind, I wear hearing aids, and I have diabetes. I was diagnosed with a disease call Alstrom Syndrome, I been born with blindness and hearing impaired. At age five, I learned Braille and how to used my first cane. On August 2017, I was diagnosed with diabetics, and I was in the hospital for 1 month and 2 weeks for a high blood sugar level of 1310. I live with my mom and two sisters and two cats name Jerry and tom, one dog name Junior, and two hamsters. Some of my hobbies are reading, listening to all kinds of music, listening to audiobooks, and hanging out with my friends. I graduated from Temple City High School on June 2017 and this is my second semester at Mt. San Antonio College. It been an awesome experience being at Mt. San Antonio College. I am interested in being a Student Trustee because I would like to make sure that every student’s voice is heard.
